ABHI SE · In memory
In Memory of Abhi
ABHI SE takes its name from Abhi, a friend and brother to the people who established Minds at Peace Foundation.
Abhi was an artist and painter with a distinctive way of seeing the world. He was known for his kindness and his humour, and for a curiosity that drew him to music, to ideas, and to questions about existence and what might lie beyond it.
Those who knew him remember the colour he brought into their lives.
Abhi died by suicide.
A loss of this kind rarely has a single explanation. Those closest to him live with questions that may never be fully answered. What such a loss can have is a response.
Why the programme carries his name
Abhi se means “from now”. The programme exists to move conversations about mental health earlier: to encourage people to ask how someone really is, to listen without judgement, and to make help easier to reach before a moment of crisis.
ABHI SE carries Abhi’s name not as a memorial to his death, but as a commitment to the living.
For Abhi, and for everyone who is still here.

Minds at Peace is an awareness, advocacy and support-access organisation. It is not an emergency service and does not replace qualified medical or mental-health professionals.
For non-emergency concerns, consider speaking with a qualified mental-health professional. We add numbers only after checking them with the service, and our list grows as our resource directory develops.
UK numbers checked with Samaritans, the NHS and Shout. Rescue 1122 checked with the Punjab Emergency Service. Tele-MANAS checked against Government of India sources. October 2026.
